House of Representatives
Nanette Díaz Barragán
Congressmember Barragán is fighting for working people. As a councilwoman, she balanced budgets, fixed streets, developed afterschool programs, and hired new police officers without increasing taxes. She worked in President Bill Clinton’s White House, then at the NAACP and in November 2016, she was elected to Congress. She serves on the House Homeland Security Committee and Natural Resources Committee, and contributes to the Hispanic Caucus and the Progressive Caucus. Raised by immigrants from Mexico and the youngest of eleven children, she put herself through UCLA and USC Law School.
