Julia Biggins

VA-10 (D)
Current office holder: Barbara Comstock (R)
Julia is an infectious disease scientist and mother of four who is running for Congress in Virginia's 10th district to unseat the anti-science Congresswoman on the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee. Julia believes the people of Virginia deserve policies and laws based on facts and evidence, instead of opinions and the influence of special interest groups. She will work across the aisle to champion reasonable solutions to our country's complex problems.
How does Julia align with Project 100's values?
  • Economic Opportunity: Julia believes anyone working full-time should be able to feed their family and pay the rent/mortgage, and therefore, supports the fight for a $15 minimum wage. She supports free or subsidized vocational schools and community colleges.
  • Equal Treatment Under the Law: Julia supports the equal protection and treatment under the law of all Americans, including LGBT people, women, black, Native, and disabled people. She will also defend immigrant rights and the rights of anyone being persecuted.
  • Healthy People & Communities: Julia believes America should be the global leader in investing in clean and renewable energies. She also will work across the aisle so that affordable healthcare is available to every American.
