Congressmember Beatty was first elected into Congress in 2013. She serves on the House Committee on Financial Services and is a member of the Housing and Insurance and Oversight and Investigations subcommittees. Her accomplishments include securing nearly $4 million of federal funding to address the infant mortality rate in Columbus, as well as introducing bipartisan legislation to combat child sex trafficking that was signed into part of a larger law. Prior to joining Congress, Congressmember Beatty served the people of Ohio during five terms the Ohio General Assembly, and she was the first female Democratic House Leader in the Ohio General Assembly.
